Mactrans Logistics Celebrates 15 Years of Excellence

In January 2024 Mactrans Logistics celebrated their 15th anniversary. Mactrans began as a small start-up in Toronto with only 3 employees. Over the last 15 years, Mactrans has expanded in employees and locations, with offices in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, and Moncton.
When asked about their anniversary, Mactrans President and Owner Joel MacKay said, “It’s been an amazing journey and I’m very proud of the company we’ve built over the last 15 years. The economy we are in right now reminds me a lot of when we started in 2009. We know we need to work harder than ever this year to continue with our growth.”
A traditional gift for a 15th wedding anniversary is crystal. This is very fitting because after all this time Mactrans has a “Crystal Clear” vision of their path moving forward. They understand that in this market they need to be providing the most competitive rates and best service to their clients.

Mike Sochor (14 years)– Senior Logistics Coordinator (Vaughan, ON)
Derek Schwab (7 years)– Senior Logistics Coordinator (Vaughan, ON)
Martin Savage (6 years)– Senior Logistics Coordinator (Longueuil, QC)
MacKay added “Congrats to all six of our valued employees who received promotions this year. They are all such an important part of our team. Rico Covello has been promoted to VP, Ops and now oversees all our dispatch and carrier operations. He was the first employee hired at Mactrans, and I’m impressed with how he’s grown with our company over the last fifteen years.”
